Marketplace privacy summary

What Aligned stores, reviews, and protects

This privacy policy reflects the in-app data flows used for trust and safety, booking integrity, customer protection, payments, messaging, reviews, and account support.

Marketplace-introduced clients stay on-platform for communication, rescheduling, booking, payment, follow-up, and rebooking. Agreed time changes stay on the original Aligned booking record unless policy, applicable law, or an agreement recorded through Aligned requires another outcome.

Account, profile, and booking data

  • Account information such as name, email, role, authentication records, and securely hashed passwords. Aligned does not store plain-text passwords.
  • Practitioner profile, onboarding, verification, policy acceptance, location, availability, service, and billing-readiness information.
  • Booking, payment, cancellation, refund, follow-up, review eligibility, and notification records needed to operate the marketplace.

Messages, moderation, and fraud prevention

  • Aligned does not routinely read conversations without reason, but in-app communications may be processed by automated tools and reviewed by authorized people when needed for safety, fraud prevention, abuse prevention, disputes, chargebacks, support, legal compliance, or policy enforcement.
  • Aligned may use automated tools to detect attempts to share prohibited contact details, outside booking instructions, or external payment information in profiles, messages, or other user-generated content.
  • Aligned may retain logs related to messages, bookings, payments, moderation events, account actions, and enforcement decisions to maintain security, investigate misuse, support users, resolve disputes, and comply with legal obligations.

Service providers, retention, and rights

  • Stripe receives payment, payout, and related booking/account information needed to process checkout, refunds, chargebacks, connected-account onboarding, and practitioner payouts. Zoom receives only the information needed to connect practitioner Zoom accounts and create session links when Zoom is used.
  • Email, hosting, storage, security, support, and operational service providers may process the limited information needed to run Aligned, send notifications, host data, secure accounts, investigate abuse, and provide support.
  • Users may contact hello@alignedspiritual.com to request access, correction, deletion/deactivation, withdrawal of consent where applicable, or to make a privacy complaint. Aligned may need to verify identity before acting on privacy requests.

Acceptance records and message review

  • Policy acceptance records may include userId, role/context, bookingId/practitionerId/mentorId/traineeId where relevant, policyName, policyVersion, acceptedAt, source screen/flow, device/app platform, IP address, and user agent where available and appropriate.
  • Aligned does not routinely read conversations without reason. Messages and related records may be reviewed when necessary for safety, fraud prevention, abuse prevention, disputes, chargebacks, support, legal compliance, or policy enforcement.
  • Users should avoid sharing emergency, medical, legal, financial, or highly private information through messaging. Aligned still applies reasonable safeguards to information users submit.

Deletion, retention, rights, and cross-border processing

  • Deletion/deactivation may remove, hide, anonymize, deactivate, or retain profile/content depending on data type, account state, legal need, safety need, backup state, or active booking/payment/dispute status.
  • Aligned may retain records needed for bookings, payments, taxes, chargebacks, fraud prevention, legal compliance, safety, moderation, support, disputes, audits, backups, and platform integrity even after an account deletion or deactivation request.
  • Canada/U.S. launch data may be processed or stored in Canada, the United States, or other locations used by service providers.
  • Users may contact hello@alignedspiritual.com to request access, correction, deletion/deactivation, withdrawal of consent where applicable, or to make a privacy complaint. Aligned may need to verify identity before acting on privacy requests.
